What really struck me here was her expression. The last time Yoko was featured, she looked angry and defiant, but it’s been four and a half years since then. Four and a half years of this, daily, ceaselessly—and now, her expression is resigned and hopeless, the fire in her eyes extinguished. She looks broken.
I’m not sure if that’s what you were going for, but it comes off that way to me.
I just went back and looked at that original drawing you mentioned and holy crap you are totally right! Now I can’t un-see it!
